"Bogoroditsk plant of techno-chemical products" was established in 1962 for production of electronic technology details (techno-chemical products).

From the very beginning the plant was a township-forming enterprise. It's enough to name all the objects which were built during that period: town emergency station, medical unit and health centres, cultural centre, Sports Palace, town water passage, camp, housing estate (plant estate) and more than 20 houses in town, children's training centre, town boiler-house, patronage and repairing of schools and constant patronage help to agriculture.

Plant successes were so great that according to the results of five-year plans 140 plant workers were rewarded with orders and medals of USSR. The enterprise was conferred the dignity of — high corporate culture and scientific management. The time of semiconducting materials and microelectronics came. And here the new life of the plant begins – this is the production of quantum electronics items.

The beginning of it was in 1973. The plant was proposed to organize the production of artificial crystals. It was decided to produce the oxide crystals made from charge mixture melt on special growing equipment.

This was a difficult and responsible period in the plant's life. Constant development of new products and increase in the volume of their production were underway. The plant established manufacture of lithium niobate crystals and blank parts (MNL/1element) for electrooptic shutters as well as production of plates for integrated optics and plates for SAW filters, acoustooptical Q-switches, garnet and yttrium aluminate parts for solid-state lasers, and after that industrial laser emitters (laser guns), emitters for specialty equipment and in the end lasers.

The times of transition towards free market economy and difficulties connected with this transition did not pass BTCP by, but the enterprise managed to establish manufacture of products for the procurement of the international nuclear research program and successfully expanded this line of activities.

Bogoroditsk Plant of Techno-chemical products is an old partner of CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research. Collaboration began in 1994. Since that time BTCP delivered 70,000 PWO crystals in total (97% of all crystals necessary for the construction of detector). From the view point of physical characteristics and economic criteria of production PWO crystal has no alternatives in CMS (Compact Muon Spectrometer) experiment, carried out by CERN, and other experiments belonging to the area of high-energy physics.

At the moment Bogoroditsk Plant of Teachno-Chemical Products is an open joint-stock company (since May 1994) with a steady skilled staff.

The staff's potential is enough for implementing the most difficult tasks in manufacturing of high-technology products, which meet all modern requirements.
